Tattered Tails is a non-profit organization established under the laws of the State of Colorado and the US Tax Code that exists for one purpose: to serve as a conduit for donations to selected organizations engaged in protecting, sheltering and caring for abandoned or abused animals. These organizations include various humane societies around the USA and similar animal shelters.

We accomplish our mission by serving as a portal for your donations, whether with cash or through monetary redemption of jewelry/precious metals, which in turn is passed on to these organizations.

There are 2 simple ways to make a donation:

1. Visit our Donate to Tattered Tails link if you wish to make a monetary donation; or
2. Visit our Donate Jewelry Items link. Upon receipt, we will send you a prepaid postage recycling envelope that you can use to send us your precious metals for redemption as a gift through Tattered Tails. You will receive a receipt indicating the appraised value of your gift for tax purposes following its redemption.
